This ain’t just a new paint job and an air freshener.– We love hearing from you! Email us with feedback or questions at 1Password – The Reimagined Edition The vastly redesigned 1Password for iOS is the thing that bumps back. There are things that go bump in the night, like password reuse and the internet’s “Heartbleed” bug. If you wanted it, but maybe thought it was too expensive (getting your accounts hacked is more expensive BTW), now would be a good time to pick 1Password up. ![]() Also, in honor of Heartbleed, 1Password is half off right now. A full-featured app is headed your way in the near future. There’s USB drive syncing in this release, a lot more features for the Mini version, a whole lot of shortcuts for power users, and they’ve improved sync to boot.Īnd for Android users, you shouldn’t feel left out. Don’t worry though, all the 4.2 changes are rolled into the 4.3 release. 4.2 was a release on the non-app store version of 1Password that never made it to the Mac App Store. The Mac version has been updated to to version 4.3 If you noticed you’re on 4.1 and are a bit confused, there’s a reason for that. It also adds the multiple file vault feature for the Mac version and can link to more than one Dropbox account. It supports AirDrop and the search feature is now always accessible. It’s been rebuilt for speed and iOS 7 improvements including a brand new sharing menu. ![]() It could have been called 1Password 5.0 if they wanted to. For the iOS version, 4.5 is more than just a point release. AgileBits has released major updates to its iOS and Mac versions of 1Password. ![]() court seeking damages and injunctive relief from Apple for allowing Telegram, a messaging platform with 500 million+ users, to be made available through its iOS App Store - "despite Apple's knowledge that Telegram is being used to intimidate, threaten and coerce members of the public" - raising concerns about "the odds of these efforts catching on." He also points to a lawsuit that's been filed in U.S. But he says he is concerned about giant private corporations having unilateral power to shape internet speech - whether takedown decisions are being made by Twitter's trust and safety lead or Amazon Web Services (which recently yanked the plug on right-wing social network Parler for failing to moderate violent views). Kobeissi also takes that view, while adding the caveat that he's not "personally" concerned about Trump's deplatforming. President Donald Trump's access to their megaphones - a demonstration of private power that other political leaders have described as problematic. Interest in the space has been rekindled in recent weeks after mainstream platforms like Facebook and Twitter took decisions to shut down U.S. Extant examples include ActivityPub, Diaspora, Mastodon, P2P Matrix, Scuttlebutt, Solid and Urbit, to name a few. The list of decentralized/P2P/federated protocols and standards already out there is very long - even while usage remains low. I've been running a business based on consulting and based on academic R&D services," he continues. Instead the tweet "just completely exploded" and he found himself raising $100,000 "in a single day" - with $50,000 paid in there and then. "I posted that tweet and the expectation that I had was that basically 60 people max would retweet it and then maybe I'll set up a Kickstarter," he tells us. But Kobeissi says he was startled by the level of interest in the concept. For now there's nothing to see beyond Capsule's landing page and a pitch deck (which he shared with TechCrunch for review). ![]() You may certainly use 10/3 wire depending on the insulation type and fuse protection.
The game uses the Unreal Engine, and we know the Xbox can run great-looking titles with better framerates. Driving from the helmet perspective helps, but only because it narrows your vision to a relatively small section of the screen. ![]() The framerate is locked at 30 FPS and it's enough to be extremely distracting during races. In the porting-over process from PC to console, ACC’s visuals are nice but the action is choppy. When it is time to race, you can choose from a range of driver views but sadly, therein lies another problem. And yes, that includes day/night racing in a wide variety of weather. Fine-tuning pit strategy absolutely comes into play during one of ACC’s epic endurance races that span anywhere from three hours to a full 24. If you aren't that tech-savvy you can choose from a range of presets for various driving styles, and there are even multiple settings for when you enter the pits. You can tinker with anything you'd find on a real race car, including electronics. The other epic sim aspect of Assetto Corsa Competizione is the dizzying array of settings for pretty much every component of the race car. The fully animated pit stops are fantastic to watch, but more time in the pits means more time in last place. Try to treat each lap like a sprint and everything will wear out in a hurry. Try to go flat-out from the start and you'll end up in a wall. Physics feel very sim-like, and developers went so far as to factor in tire deformation and pressures as well as brake temperatures and wear. Realism is what ACC is all about, and you'll struggle to find any console racing title that offers more of it. We’re Helping Put On The Virtual 24 Hours Of Le Mans Race In June The result can be frustrating for casual racers – especially with a numb steering wheel – but when it comes together for a good lap, you feel like a driving diety because you earned it. Just like in real racing, the burden of getting better falls on you instead of simply following cues on when to accelerate, brake, or turn. You'll start by lapping Monza in a Lamborghini, running 10-minute sessions during which your performance is evaluated, and that includes how nicely you play with other cars on the track. You can jump right into racing on one of 11 real-world tracks, driving one of 13 race cars with accurate liveries but if you want to make progress, you need to start slow and steady.ĪCC’s career mode offers a few stepping stones to help. A good racing sim shouldn’t be plug-and-play with immediate success, and unless you're already a seasoned simmer, that's exactly what you'll encounter. This is the official game of the GT World Challenge Series, and as such, it’s best experienced when you think like an actual racer. Speaking of steep learning curve, that’s actually one of the game's strengths. Dealing with wheel issues on top of that can quickly suck all the enjoyment out of this title. ![]() We hope further development for better feedback is also part of that process, because ACC already has a very steep learning curve that can be frustrating. To ACC’s credit, we’re told the wheel glitch is being worked on so the game at least recognizes it’s there. ![]() This isn't good, because with settings cranked to maximum, the steering feels almost lifeless. ![]() You’ll feel a minor bump if you clip a curb, but oddly enough you’ll get random jolts when barreling down a straight. There’s no distinction between understeer or oversteer, and no change in force unless you're completely stopped. There’s little force in the wheel, and every corner feels the same regardless of how fast or slow you enter. Ultimately we were able to get it functional by unplugging the wheel and plugging it back in while the game was up and running, but as of this early-July review, this is still the only way to get ACC to recognize a wheel.Įven with a functioning wheel, those basic settings mean there are only a few feedback adjustments. Furthermore, the settings screen only lists extremely basic wheel adjustments that appear to be universal for any rig. We mean that literally – ACC didn’t recognize steering or throttle inputs from the wheel. However, one doesn’t seek proper sim racing glory using a gamepad, so we fired up the wheel and prepared for some intense action. You can play ACC with the standard Xbox controller, and during a special Assetto Corsa Competizione pre-launch Q&A, we were told that special attention was given to the console version in this regard so players could have a good experience without owning wheel. Our time with Assetto Corsa Competizione was spent on a current-generation Xbox One X, connected to a 4K HDR television and controlled through a Logitech G920 force feedback steering wheel. ⠀ Gran Turismo 7 Teased During Playstation 5 Debut Stream ![]() ![]() Gavrilo Princip, the Serb who assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand and thus began the events that led to WWI, is honored in Sarajevo by a statue unveiled last year - at the 100th year since the outbreak of the first World War Even though they drove in through an attacking mob, they decided to take him the same route on the way out of the city, right past Gavrilo Princip.
